Courthouse Connection is a partnership between the OWLS Mary Leonard Chapter and the Marion County Bar Association.  Courthouse Connection events are held at the Marion County Courthouse over the noon hour several times each year.  Courthouse Connection events provide an opportunity for judges, attorneys, and law clerks to gather to discuss the practice of law in our courts and community.

Join us by Zoom to get your questions answered about the developing OSB Paraprofessional Licensing Program

The OSB Board of Governors recently accepted a report on the development of a program to license qualified paralegals to provide limited legal services to clients in family law and landlord/tenant cases. This topic has been hotly debated on legal listserves, local publications, and in OSB Board of Governors' public meetings. Come to this lunchtime presentation by the Honorable Kirsten Thompson who heads the Paraprofessional Licensing Implemental Committee to learn more about the program and the next steps in implementation.
