Fairness in Housing CLE

Mary Leonard Chapter is pleased to offer a 3-hour CLE on housing on May 17, featuring presentations by Dr. Lisa Bates, PSU; Ed Johnson, Oregon Law Center; Rachael Federico, Legal Aid Services of Oregon; and Ariel Nelson, Oregon Housing and Community Services' Public Affairs Division. Attendees will learn about the current housing crisis, the work performed by legal aid related to tenants' rights and fair housing, current housing legislation, and the Homeowner Stabilization Initiative.

​When:  Thursday, May 17, 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Where: Willamette Law School, Room Law 121

Agenda: 

2:00-3:00 Overview of the housing crisis, Professor Lisa Bates 
3:00-4:00 Housing issues facing low-income Oregonians, Ed Johnson and Rachael Federico
4:00-5:00 Housing updates from the legislature, Ariel Nelson

3.0 CLE credit will be sought, including 1.0 access to justice. Our normal tiered pricing applies for each hour of the program: $20 non-member; $15 OWLS member; $10 judicial law clerk or new admittee. Reduced pricing applies for folks who attend all three hours: $50 non-member; $35 member; $25  judicial law clerk or new admittee; and always free to law students and those not seeking CLE credit.
